A village built on top of the Donja Stubica hill. In the center, the old lime tree still stands. According to a legend dating back to the 16th century, the leader Matija Gubec and his cronies gathered under this tree to foment a peasant revolt. The venerable tree, which is more than four centuries old, has become the symbol of the slingshot of these men. A small tavern with white walls and thatched roof has a terrace with log tables and benches that enjoys its shade in summer. In the central square of the village, other typical houses of the region and a baroque church can be seen. The castle, at the bend in a valley, houses a regional museum.
