The village has a very beautiful th century manor house, which can now only be seen with the façade, the interior being closed with the exception of the restaurant. Originally, it was monks who established themselves here from the island of Gotland. It was a monastery, but in 1581 the King of Sweden offered him the French Pontus de La Gardie to reward him for his military prowess in the army of the country. The estate remained in the family until 1650, when Christina de La Gardie married the Swedish Admiral Stenbock. Near the state of ruins in 1980, the manor house was renovated and restored. The two columns surmounted by the arms of the Stenbock family date from the th century, the period of prosperity of the owners.
