An original Estonian-Finnish-Swedish village dating back to the 19th century, it has long carried the nickname of "millionaires' village" due to the new Russian and Estonian businessmen who come here to buy their vacation homes and enjoy the sea and the surrounding area. The view of the Baltic Sea is breathtaking... Although the village has only around 100 inhabitants, it is very popular with writers and artists from all walks of life who come here in search of inspiration and peace and quiet. The Museum of the Sea, housed in the border guard building, features exhibitions that bring sea travel to life.
