In Palmse, you're already in Lahemaa National Park. For information on walks, activities, visits or guided and organized excursions, the most convenient place to go is the park's tourist information center, located in the manor house. This small village, with its sixty-one souls counted in 2011, is a must on any guided tour of the national park. The main attraction here is the superb 18th-century Palmse manor house, once owned by the Von der Pahlen family. But the area is also ideal for a number of short hikes, easily accessible to all, even the youngest visitors.
