Rantee Bay is isolated from the rest of the island. The beach is pretty, and it might be tempting to settle there... However, the resorts here don't enjoy a good reputation, and the beach is invaded every day by speedboats full of snorkeling tourists. The bay is accessible on foot from Ton Sai, following the path that leads to the top of the island (stairs to viewpointno. 1) and then down through the woods to the island's east coast (quite steep: bring good shoes and avoid night-time). It's also possible to get there by boat, for around 150 B and a 20-minute trip.
