13 km from Chiang Mai, Sam Kamphaeng, the "fabric paradise" is indeed specialized in the manufacture of Thai silk clothing. This small commune, tambon in Thai, has about 13,000 inhabitants and is made up of 14 villages. There are also other forms of handicrafts, of course.
