The ascent by car, on the ridge that separates the Rivière des Remparts from the Rivière de Langevin, leads to Grand-Coude, perched at an altitude of 1,100 metres. After Jean-Petit, the road becomes dangerous and sometimes closed in case of heavy rains. It is even forbidden at night. The morne Langevin dominates the area from the top of its 2,315m. Stop (very early in the morning to make sure you have good weather) at the two points of view of Petit-Serré. On the left, you overlook the Rivière des Remparts, on the right, the Rivière Langevin and the village of Grand-Galet. Away from tourism, Grand-Coude remains a traditional village, surrounded by magnificent landscapes.
