The Maison du Laurina usually offers the discovery of the sharp Bourbon coffee through tastings and the unique history of coffee in Bourbon. But due to poor harvests, there were no visits or wine tastings during our passage in 2017. Marie-Claude Grondin and Jacques Lepinay, you can still taste a wide range of local products other than coffee, or try your luck if there has been a good harvest since then! To get there from the entrance of Grand-Elbow, follow the Eucalyptus Bed Table, held by the same owners.

Visite passionnante de cette exploitation familiale de Bourbon Pointu grand cru. La visite est réalisée par la famille elle-même et très intéressante (1h mêlant visite des champs et explication de la méthode de production). Dégustation de café (le meilleur Bourbon Pointu bu depuis notre arrivée sur l’île) ainsi que de produits dérivés (gelée, crème) en fin de visite. Possibilité d’acheter produits dérivés et café sur place, en grains ou moulu à la demande. Réservation obligatoire. Incontournable à Grand Coude !

This is a cool place to visit but make sure to call before you come since it is likely they are busy on their farm.
Cindell and Thomas showed us their whole family farm where they grow special coffee reintroduced to la reunion, all kinds of vegetables, lemons, passion fruit and so on.
It was really an amazing tour. Afterwards we visited the museum to see how coffee and geranium oil is made. Which was super cool. We also tasted the coffee, liquor and jams. They all tasted amazing.
I can only recommend this place it is really worth a visit.
