The old port of Cala Ratjada has become an important tourist centre. There are many hotels there, and tourists too. Although it is located in a beautiful harbour, the houses disfigure the beautiful beaches of Son Moll and Cala Aguila, from which, on a clear day, you can see the contours of Menorca. The town has nevertheless managed to preserve its historical charm and remains very well maintained, with beautiful wooded areas, numerous shops and a Saturday market. Don't be surprised if the staff in some bars or restaurants don't understand your Spanish, it's just that they only speak German.
