The region of Artà is worth a visit. The central location of the small town (7,500 inhabitants) is ideal for travelling around this part of the island. If you are coming from Alcúdia, the 712 road will take you directly to Artà. From Palma, take the C715 via Manacor. Artà, an old town, retains its colonial charm. In the middle of a plain, the town appears as a group of beautiful houses built on a small hill dominated by the church of San Salvador. The site offers a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside and the Sierra de Levante. Artà is home to a megalithic monument from the Talayotic period called Ses Païsses (Lloc Poligon).
