This small medieval village, situated on the north shore of Lake Bracciano, is dominated by a ruined castle. This fortification, the Rocca, which is today the main attraction of Trevignano, belonged to the Orsini family. In 1496, the castle was destroyed during the war led by Pope Alexander VI - a Borgia - against the Orsini. Easily accessible from the church, the ruins of the Rocca offer a wonderful view of the lake and the surrounding villages. But the small picturesque village of Trevignano also offers a beautiful promenade along the lake, which stretches over about three kilometres, with numerous bars and restaurants directly on the lake.
