After Ponta Delgada, we plunge again on a narrow and vertiginous road. But no danger, the next town is called Boaventura: nothing serious can happen with such a name! This village is drowned in the vineyards and breathes calm. It has no activity related to the sea. Besides, the ocean has disappeared, or almost disappeared, we drive through deep valleys, with the impression of driving at the bottom of a canyon. Beautiful walks are possible in the area: one can follow the loop of Boaventura which starts from the church, a very little frequented path following the route of two levadas (2h40).
