Travel Guide Eira Do Serrado

The old road that leads to the "Valley of the Nuns" is winding and steep. A real mountain road! It leads to a fable landscape, a steep valley, vertical walls... Everything is just rock and yet it is green everywhere. A road goes right towards Eira do Serrado, paved until the flat, located at 1,090 m above sea level. There, you can park your car on a car park in front of the recent constructions that have replaced the small vendors. After a few tens of meters on the left, the landscape that can be discovered is extraordinary. In the hollow of the crater, almost 400 m below, the village of Curral das Freiras appears in its hiding place.
