Serra d'Agua (approx. 1,050 inhabitants) is a picturesque little village clinging to the side of sharp peaks. The mountains of water were once used to cut wood with the force of the current. The wood was then used to build boats. Now it is the power stations that benefit from this energy. The Encumeada Pass (1,007 metres above sea level) is just a few kilometres away, from where on a clear day you can see the north and south coasts of Madeira. The landscape is remarkable, to our taste it is one of the most beautiful of the island! From here there are several possibilities for hiking, including the Levada do Norte
