A charming little fishing village built around an old tuna fish market where you can find good food. It has a beautiful palace, that of the Villadorata, and an adjoining chapel. Portopalo, at the extreme limit of Europe (our Ushuaïa!), owes its charm to the port and its fishing activities. Don't miss the fish auction which takes place every evening at sunset. Two idyllic swimming spots exist here: the isola Blue and the spiagga San Lorenzo. The best way to get to Marzamemi is by car, otherwise you have to go to Pachino by bus first, then use the services of a local taxi.
