On the banks of the Loire, the delightful Site site is dominated by the ruins of Beaufort Castle, a th century building listed in the Historical monuments inventory. In the 600 th century, Goudet had some inhabitants. Today, they are barely over sixty to permanently inhabit this commune. In the last century the village was prosperous: There were notaries, a doctor, teachers, sucker, miners who dnsels barite, and chapeliers. Goudet was famous for its small capeloux industry, coarse and rustic hats. The village of Goudet is very quiet during winter, and the village of Goudet is busy in the summer. After Beaufort Castle, on the Costaros road, you will notice a cliff of basaltic organs. See, in the village, the house of Archaeology which hosts some summer exhibitions.
