This is probably the most pleasant bay on the north coast. Apart from a chop bar in the beach parking lot and a few breezes, nothing seems to disturb the tranquillity of this long, wild bay of almost a kilometer, where rows of coconut palms stretch out over the turquoise water. Families from Port of Spain come here to enjoy the peace and quiet that Maracas Bay doesn't offer, and to swim in waters less tortured by currents, under the watchful eye of lifeguards. You can pick up beautiful shells from the rocks, but be careful not to take them with you in your luggage... it's forbidden.
