Surrounded by the cliffs of the North Coast Mountains, Maracas Bay is about a kilometer long and lined with coconut palms along its entire length. Maracas Bay is famous for its bake & shark, shark sandwiches (often unknowingly replaced by fish). The bread is baked before your eyes, the fish (or shark) is caught daily, the filling is salad, tomato slices and pineapple, and the whole thing is topped with a wide variety of sauces to choose from. A real treat, even if we advise you to ask for the dish to be made with fish rather than shark, an endangered species.
