On the route from Arima to Toco (2 to 3 hours drive), we first cross the lands of the north-east of the island and pass through a town with no great interest, Valencia, which lives mainly in agriculture, before reaching the sea. Then you reach the small village of Matura, perched on a small river, and not far from two beaches, Orosco and Rincon where turtles come from March to late July. The currents are very strong and swimming unsupervised. On the other hand, sand is fine and coconut trees bring a refreshing shadow. Good for a break on the road.
