Miches, with a population of around 20,000, is located in the province of El Seibo, between the northern slopes of the Dominican Cordillera Oriental and the southern shore of Samaná Bay. You can get there by car, as the road to the town is in good condition. Although it only skirts the sea from a distance, it does serve some beautiful, unspoilt beaches. If you don't have a car, you can also borrow a guagua. Slowly opening up to tourism, the Miches region is ideal for boat excursions or horseback rides on the beach.Don't miss: Playa el Limón, a beautiful secluded beach, perfect for taking photos.
