Los Haitises National Park, in the south of the Samaná Peninsula, is accessible by road or by sea. This site is the sanctuary of a captivating civilization and shelters an exuberant nature: a hundred mogotes (limestone hills) full of vegetation, a forest of mangroves, a great variety of flowers and a diversified fauna. To visit it, a guide is necessary (many specialized agencies). Nicolas, from Flora Tours, of French origin, is the only French guide to have the Dominican diploma of official guide. On the program: fauna, flora but also the wonderful history of the people who colonized the surrounding caves.
