Saint-Colomban-les-Villards is part of the Sybelles ski area. Halfway up the Col du Glandon (at 1 924 m altitude), the village resort with its authentic Savoyard charm has a very rich historical heritage. The cup-shaped rock visible when accessing it from Saint-Alban-des-Villards, on the hiking route leading to the Col du Merlet, bears witness to a prehistoric human presence. Religious heritage is particularly present. Another more recent curiosity is the water reservoir of the Grand'Maison dam, located partly on the territory of the commune, which was put into service in 1988.
