Tullins (7,800 inhabitants) is located on the slopes, on the last foothills of the Chambaran plateau. Below the town extends the plain of the Isère. Its old center has many small streets and alleys pleasant to walk. The Hôtel-Dieu (15th century), the Saint-Laurent-des-Prés church (11th century), the Clos des Chartreux (13th-14th centuries, the current town hall), the Château tower (13th century) and several listed houses from the 17th and 18th centuries are, among others, worth seeing. The old village of Fures, now integrated into the northwest of the town, has a notable industrial heritage (hemp cloth, silk, metal and paper).
