Saint-Thomas-en-Royans is one of five communes on the south bank of the Bourne. The area is densely wooded and boasts a wealth of wetlands, including a relict refuge for the hobby falcon. This agricultural commune is characterized by corn cultivation and numerous walnut tree plantations. In addition, a small amount of livestock farming continues. There are also some remarkable buildings and hamlets with beautiful farms. Saint-Thomas-en-Royans is a peaceful, unspoilt village with two bars-restaurants, a campsite and a gîte.
