A vast commune made up of three main towns - Injoux, Génissiat and Craz - which stretches from the banks of the Rhône - on the border with Haute-Savoie - to the summits of the Jura chain at an altitude of more than 1,000m, since the Crêt du Nû culminates at 1,351m, dominating the Rhône valley. Renowned for its 104m high hydroelectric dam (to be visited by reservation by logging on to the site: www.lescircuitsdelenergie.fr, the commune of Injoux-Génissiat is also known for offering numerous hiking trails climbing to the heights. Starting with the GR®9 which crosses the territory before offering sumptuous panoramas.
