At the crossroads, Artemare is located between the Jura mountains - the Planachat and the famous Colombier, which culminates at the Grand-Colombier at an altitude of 1,538 m - enjoying a preserved nature and a pleasant living environment. There are beautiful walks around this dynamic village, in particular towards the Balthazar tank, the Groin chasm between Don and Artemare. All cyclists in the region know Artemare and want to measure themselves against the mythical ascent of the Grand-Colombier pass, which has been done many times by the Tour de France, 15.90 km of continuous effort with 1,245 m of difference in altitude, an average percentage of 7.83% and slopes of up to 20%!
