The only vestige of the castle that once belonged to the Sainte-Maure family, the Montauzier tower has machicolations, mullioned windows and very useful loopholes. Not far away, the Font de Madame is a fountain in the shape of a scallop shell supposed to cure eye diseases and where Louis XIII would have stopped. Next to the Montauzier tower, the commune benefits from the presence of an original and unusual monument: the orientalizing manor house of the abbot Jean-Hippolyte Michon, historian, author of the Monumental Statistics of Charente (1944) and inventor of graphology.
