This small village in the Aisne is mainly known for its 28 meter high keep built in the Middle Ages, in 1140, and the only vestige of the fortress of that time. Over the centuries, the small town of Ambleny has developed and became famous at the end of the 19th century for the manufacture of artificial flowers, a prosperous and very fashionable industry at the time. At that time, the town had a comb and brush factory, as well as an artificial flower factory. This lasted until the interwar period. Today, the architecture of the commune is characterized by its houses with stepped gables, typical of the department.
