This village takes its name from St. John the Evangelist. Its human occupation is attested since the Gallo-Roman period but it is in the Middle Ages that the village developed. You must see its church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste, from the 12th century, which houses three sets of altars-retables from the 18th century and ten bas-reliefs from the 16th century classified as Historic Monuments.
