The great specialty of Nuillé-sur-Vicoin is its horse racing every year in October. It was in 1944 that Joseph Le Turners du Val had the generous idea of organizing the first races at the Ligonnière Hippodrome, a magnificent land crossed by the Vicoin. Purpose of the operation: financing the sending of packages to prisoners of war. In 1946, the track was approved and since then races have been attracting a large crowd every year.
