Javron-les-Chapelles, on the N 12 and at the crossroads of many departmental sites, combines, as his name indicates, the Javron and Chapels that merged in 1973. Historical crossroads since the Merovingian period, this commune of the Mayenne, which totals 1,500 inhabitants, is deployed in wet meadows in the valley bottom, in coves and forests on the heights. The river Aisne flows down to the bottom of Javron and part of the Natura 2000 site of the forest of the forest of the mint in Javron-les-Chapelles. It is a farming commune with cattle farmers and poultry farmers and no less than seven appellations of origin including the beef IGP of Maine. A country greedy! As a local characteristic, the Cave of Chapels, located 3 km from the center of Javron-les-Chapelles, is also being evoked in thanksgiving to Notre-Dame de Lourdes for protecting the village during the Second World War. Finally, the village is at the beginning of several hikes. Here is a charming stop on the N 12 before entering the Park by Saint-Cyr-en-Pail. Market on Friday morning.
