Once again, the city was born from the administrative and political merger of 11 neighbouring municipalities. In the mid-2010s, the territorial organization of the department was indeed reviewed, and many changes and restructurings followed. This new town is characterised by the presence of many mills (old or restored), testimony to a past life. This is why the festival De Fibres en musique, which honours the old hemp trades, is held here every year in August. Demonstrations of hemp work, workshops, concerts and street arts, exhibitions and fireworks are organised for the occasion.
