Chalonnes is a town that loves nature... and nature loves Chalonnes. Situated at the confluence of the Layon, Louet and Loire rivers, Chalonnes overlooks a UNESCO World Heritage site. The town is rich in protected natural areas, to the point of having created its own Atlas de la Biodiversité chalonnaise (ABC), which is still in the process of being written. So naturalists of all stripes are very welcome here! History is never far away, however, and a visit to the town's various buildings will reveal that each has its own anecdote, from the town hall to the Saint-Pierre tower and the old port areas.
