On the banks of the Loire, this small town sits 70 meters above the royal river, offering a unique panorama. Built on the edge of Anjou, opposite the Duchy of Brittany, it was an important fortified town in the Middle Ages. It suffered several sieges and was dismantled during the Hundred Years' War. Today, the ruins of the castle offer a glimpse of history and a beautiful walk, from the two towers that mark the entrance to the ancient citadel. Follow the red trail and interpretation markers along the medieval route, then the winding path of the Luce, which takes you into the land of Gallic tales and legends.
