23 km from Nantes, Héric is an agricultural commune. Bordered by the Erdre to the east and the Isac to the west, these two rivers meet the Nantes-Brest canal. A preserved nature that offers a hedged area with rich wildlife and a lake with banks covered with rare species (site Bout-de-Bois), are the assets of the town. To discover them: the waterway, from the lock of Pas d'Héric to the reach of Bout-de-Bois, fed by the rigole of Vioreau or the road. Take the direction of Joué-sur-Erdre, pass by the Maquis of Saffré and pay your respects to the monument of Pas du Houx, erected in memory of the heroes of the Resistance
