This village gave its name to one of the most decisive battles of the Hundred Years' War (1337-1453). It was in the clearing between the woods of Azincourt and Tramecourt that the French and English armies clashed on 25 October 1415. The city's historical interpretation centre provides a better understanding of the battle and the English victory.
