The head in the sky and feet in the water, this is the fortified village of Maubec. Maubec means bad beak, referring to the fortified spur that defied the armies of successive wars. The ramparts are completely encircled by a set of Middle Ages houses with wooden facades and the recently restored Saint-Orens church. The view of the Community valley at the bottom of this little eagle's nest offers a panorama that stretches up to Gers and the Pyrenees.
