Developed between the Aveyron gorges and the Vère valley, the village of Vaour is worth a stop. Known for its festival of laughter, which attracts its share of merrymakers, the town has an interesting history that really began in the 12th century with its creation by the Knights Templar. The soldier monks were seduced by its position in the middle of the roads from Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val to Gaillac and from Penne to Albi. From there, they could also enjoy a panorama covering the mountains of Auvergne, the Pyrenees, the Cevennes and the plains of Albigeois. To see: the ruins of a Templar commandery and the dolmen of Peyrelade.
