The town of Trébas was founded in 1199 on one of the banks of the Tarn valley. It has preserved some vestiges of its past, notably two gates of its ancient fortifications and a splendid 16th century castle. In 1835, the recognition of the therapeutic virtues of the copper and iron springs gave a new impulse to the village. This thermal activity, now over, has given way to sports and water tourism. Indeed, the town has the only supervised beach in the department and its leisure centre offers a wide range of activities: football, volleyball, tennis, petanque, mini-golf, canoeing and kayaking...
