The commune includes 4 hamlets, 3 of which were located on the Grand Chemin François which led the pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela - the latter being nestled in the hillsides. Ramonville is today a commune which offers, in addition to the marina, a rich heritage of characterful residences as well as a preserved natural area. The banks of the Canal du Midi, to which houseboats are moored, are pleasant to walk along. They lead to an aqueduct with a siphon whose engineering is notable. Ramonville is the gateway to Toulouse and the Grand Lauragais region. It is an invitation to a change of scenery, only a few blocks from the Capitole.
