Charming little village at 2 minutes drive from Castillonnès, Cahuzac has on its highest part a castle, built from the XIIIth century. It was used by the English during the Hundred Years War and by the Protestants during the Wars of Religion. Henri IV, Rabelais and the Duke of La Rochefoucauld stayed there. The site remains one of beautiful views over the Dropt valley. Two original towers, an enclosure and a building with a former convent remain in good condition. From the belvedere to the walkway, enjoy the scenery! The trees make the whole a walk of character. The building of the village is splendid. Stroll and enjoy!
