The villages of Maumusson and La Guian were reunited in the middle of the 19th century. This merger, at the gates of Viella, has given a village of winegrowers with many Madiran producing estates present in his constituency. The castle of Maumusson is an old fortified tower dating from the 13th century, transformed into a hunting lodge before finally being restored in the 19th century.
