The Saint Martin Valley, also described as a religions vallon, accompanies the course of the Mâdon over 4 km. He has kept many traces of human activity. In particular, there are the quarries found everywhere in the valley. This exploitation is probably very old because Gallo-Roman necropolises and necropolises have been updated around Escles. The châtelet is a spur that may have been a Celtic town and surely a feudal castle. There is also the eremitical habitat. The cave of St. Martin and other rocks housed hermits. Basin systems with old fountains have been released recently. The Cuveau des Fées near the source of the Mâdon was not a stone to sacrifice but rather a baptistery characteristic of the early times of Christianity. This vallon has a forest cover that is actually a pleasant promenade. The trails have been arranged and marked (walk from 1 h to 4 h depending on the route chosen).
