Châtel-sur-Moselle (Vosges department) is a small, quiet town with a population of 1,700 inhabitants, known above all for its fortress (one of the largest in Europe) built between the 11th and 15th centuries. Bordered by the Moselle, it has several other monuments of interest, including the church Saint-Laurent, listed as a historical monument and a fountain dating from 1850. Every two years, Châtel-sur-Moselle organizes a large medieval festival, lasting two-three days (usually in May or June), with fights of knights, flights of eagles ... The Canal des Vosges, which runs alongside the town, is an invitation to stroll, on foot or by bike
