(Vallée Valley (Vall de la Rotjà), Sahorre (Saorra), Py (Pi), Settle (Mentet)) Very pleasant excursion from Villefranche. Take direction Mont-Louis and after 10 km, turn left on the D 6, which goes back the river. Parallel to the Cady - Vernet-les-Bains - this little stream of water descends a beautiful green valley, to scattered habitat. The agricultural specialty is the apple, more specifically the pippin of Canada, of which Sahorre and Fuilla are the main production centres of the department. A convivial party is dedicated to it in the autumn. The first commune crossed is that of Fuilla, composed of three separate residential places, Veïnat de Baix, Veïnat del Mig, and Veïnat d'Amunt. In the first city, we must take a stop to contemplate the remarkable Romanesque church Sainte-Eulalia, consecrated in 1031. It is one of the oldest examples of the first Romanesque art in Roussillon. At the bottom of the valley, surrounded by a mountain circus, this is Sahorre with 400 inhabitants, built at 670 m altitude. Many activities include fishing and especially hiking. The most interesting is the ascent of the tower of Goa to the southeast of the village at 1 268 m altitude. There is an exceptional panorama (orientation table) on the two small parallel valleys of Cady and Rotja, and on the Massif Massif.
