Situated where the Tet River emerges from the Narrows of the High Conflent and enters a vast plain covered with orchards and fruit trees, Prades is a lively little town of 7,000 inhabitants, nestling at the foot of the majestic Canigó. Halfway between mountain and plain, Prades is the ideal place to radiate and discover the whole of the Conflent. Prades has a charming pedestrianised town centre around St Peter's Church and offers a variety of events, such as its small film festival and above all the Pablo Casals classical music festival. Don't forget to visit the two masterpieces of Romanesque art, San Miguel de Cuxa and San Martín del Canigó.
