We often just pass through this village on our way to Cerdagne or Capcir. What a shame! The hamlet of Évol, two kilometers northwest of the village, is listed as one of France's most beautiful villages. Here you'll find the ruins of a castle, the Musée des Arts et Traditions Populaires, and the birthplace of Ludovic Massé, the Catalan libertarian novelist... The Maison du Parc Naturel Régional des Pyrénées Catalanes has been set up at La Bastide d'Olette to welcome the public. The Bastide is also home to a mushroom farm specializing in the production of button mushrooms, one of the main sources of employment in the Haut Conflent region.
