About 2,180 souls, Corneilla-del-Vercol is located in the plain between the Reart and the Tech. It can be accessed either by the N 114 which links Perpignan to Argelès, or by the small road linking Montescot to Théza, which offers a much more pleasant meadow landscape. The rest of the territory is mainly planted with vineyards. The village named its name Cornelianus rich family of landlords the land stretched beyond the Pyrenees. Ancient feudal village, the castle dating from around 1200 and belonging to the Jonquères d 'Oriola - the same name as the owners of the guest rooms - is still there, but unfortunately not visit.
