Situated on the Regordane Way that linked the Auvergne to the Mediterranean, Genolhac has experienced many traumas throughout history, from plague episodes to wars of religion. In terms of architecture, the Middle Ages left the square tower of the old castle and the 12th century church with its comb tower. At the foot of the Mont Lozère and in the Cévennes National Park, there are many opportunities for hiking here. Make a stop in Génolhac, and savour its gentle way of life, combining green tourism with outdoor activities, culture, which inspired the writer Jean-Pierre Chabrol, and the land of this rich Cévennes country
