Don't be fooled by the small size of this village steeped in history, its visit will be a real journey through time. The adventure begins on the plain and the oppidum of Cayla, a site that has been occupied for over 5,000 years! Regular excavation campaigns are organised on site to uncover new treasures. The next part of the walk will take you back to the Middle Ages, when the ramparts and its large gates were built. It is outside these fortifications that the colourful Saint-Paul-Serge church, whose foundations date back to the5th century, will reveal its pretty silhouette. Finally, all around the village, you will find vineyards which contribute to the current reputation of the AOC Minervois.
